Our Horses

We love each and every one of our horses for their unique spirit and character. We make sure that they are happy and well cared for. We use the gentle techniques of Parelli Natural Horsemanship using love, language and leadership that fosters a relationship of trust and respect. We pay particular attention to the Parelli “Horsenalities” which helps us to understand our horses particular character traits so that we can be the best human we can be for our horses. You will love playing with and riding any of our fifteen beautiful Costa Rican horses. Ibero Americanos, Criollo y Costaricense de Paso of all horsenalities and various levels of Parelli training.

Horses can be left brain or right brain or introverterd or extroverted. This system developed by Linda Parelli,  helps us to  match you to a horse that is perfect for you. We hope that you will enjoy them as much as we do.

Mr Socks is an 8 year old andalusian/quarter horse mix. He is our best lead trail horse. We call him "Our fearless leader" He knows all the Parelli horse games through level 2. His horsenality is a Left Brain Introvert. We love his laid back back attitude and his steadiness.

Silky is 18 years old and doesn't look it. She is great with the kids and strong and sure footed on the trails. She is a Left Brain Extrovert and the Parelli games have helped her develop her ability to have more trusting relationships with humans.

This is Beau, our 9 year old Criollo gelding. He is fully Right Brain and travels between introvert and extrovert depending on the environment and the rider.  He has very gentle manners and loves people.  He is a sweet heart in the ring where we have lots of fun riding him bridleless.

Our 12 year old Criollo mare Paloma is light on her feet and very sensitive. She is playing the Parelli games at the 2nd and 3rd levels. She is a Left Brain Extrovert and loves to play especially at liberty.

Paloma's second daughter is now 6 years old. Imprint trained from birth and then started under saddle with the Parelli method. She is a Left Brain Introvert and is sweet and gentle and very responsive to seat and leg aids. She plays the Parelli games at level 2 and is very willing to please.

Paloma's third daughter. Noel was born on the farm on Christmas day4 1/2 years ago. Imprint trained and treated like a member of the family. She is a Left Brain Extrovert and is spunky and curious about everything. Started with the Parelli method and continues leaning.
